Project: Celebrate Las Vegas (Las Vegas Influence on Absolutely Everything)
I love trains. The engineering, the sound, the history, I just love trains.
So going back to the arrival of the train in Nevada was important and such an important part of Las Vegas history. In the 1930s, a network of railroads connected Boulder City to the Hoover Dam construction site in Black Canyon. The railroads transported supplies, equipment, and people to the dam. I found this beautiful caboose train at Nevada State Museum.
