Hoover Dam Turbine Room (NV) Fabric Design Card

Hoover Dam has fascinated me for years, since childhood in fact. It is a huge and extraordinary feat of engineering; it was built in the 1930’s at a time when ‘man’ firmly believed that nature could be tamed. The Dam is also on the State line between Nevada and Arizona, the two turbine rooms named for each State, have an other-worldly Art Deco look and design, and they are massive. The row of six turbines form the basic pattern repeat, they have contrasting metalwork which also adds great detail and interest to the design. The Colorado river water flows through the turbines hundreds of feet below the top of the dam and generate electricity but also incredibly importantly the Dam is a source of water.

The print looks great framed either in a 5"x7" or an 8"x10" with mount, picture frame. At that size it is very easy to hang, and only needs a tiny nail to hold it up. This is also a great way to collect multiple pieces of Zoë's art to hang on your walls, and you will be able to admire them all day long!

The print is on 400gsm, coated-on-the-print-side, card. The back has no coating, there's plenty of room for a message so you could write on it, and send it to a friend :^)
